Every spring and autumn, the bi-annual Loggermarkt (lugger market) takes place in Bremen- Vegesack's old harbour area. The old herring luggers (an old, three-masted type of ship) gave the market event its name. There will be, as always, plentiful and inviting stalls selling fish specialties.
But the great performances of maritime music are seen as equally important.
Flea market fans are also catered for, as the Weserpromenade becomes the place for buyers, sellers, and bargain-lovers. Everyone with some time or stuff to spare should raid their attics or cellars to offer their goods as well.
The flea market stalls can be assembled on Sunday morning from 4 am. on. Stall rents are 6,00 Euro per metre. Children and young persons up to 16 years having a child-appropriate range (books, toys et cetera) need not to pay any .
The lugger market stretches from the Utkiek to the Hafenwald (harbour woods) and invites market goers to a morning pint from 11 am on.
You will be also offered by regular market vendors their various goods, produce and beverages.
